I personally didn't know much about NIL prior to doing this project, but now after researching this topic I have come to an understanding that it is about much more than just making money. Yes, NIL allows for players to make money but this also allows them to build a brand behind their name which is more for the long run if they continue to play or take a job in their preferred sports field. In my eyes there are many upsides to NIL such as this provides real world work experience to obtain these deals. It is real world practice, usually on a smaller scale while in college, which allows these players to get used to having these large sums of money and how to handle it before getting a much larger contract or endorsement deal later in their career.
